Charities now have their own booking form with the offer of a free pitch to the first 25 to apply. It's never been easier or cheaper to meet up to 12,000 potential clients or sponsors than now. So give your staff or volunteers a treat in the sun & fun. OK - we can't guarantee the first, but there will be fun all the way to the end of the show. Just look here

| It looks like the Sea Hawk will be flying early afternoon. At least I didn't say in best BBC mode " Tea Time "! I'm sure the PA will announce it over the loudspeakers - that's if you can hear over the roar of machinery, the blasts from the Brass Band or the tinkling of the Morris Dancers. Whoops - too much beer again? No - just their bells.

UPDATED 20th Anniversary Road Run in Support of FBHVC Drive It Day. UPDATED
Well, the response was fantastic and the weather was kind. In the end 48 vehicles took part in the run, with a further 6 turning up at the Half Moon which was totally
sold out for Lunch on Sunday by 11:00hrs on Saturday. As promised, there was an interesting mix of vehicles, with a plethora of Alvis. The 36 mile run which was route 1 was a good mix of country lanes and short fast stretches, with the oldest car clocked at 50mph when the wind and gravity permitted. Along the way we encountered the Austin sevens on their run and several other groups and individuals, all waving and invoking the spirit of a bygone motoring age.
Thanks to all who took part, our sponsors and the local radio station - bright1064.com for their interest. And thanks to our volunteers who acted as marshals and co-ordinators. And a special thank you to the drivers of modern vehicles who showed restraint and respect when their speed was reduced by our slower vehicles. We hope you enjoyed the chance of seeing our vehicles doing what they were designed for. Pictures are here
155GBP was raised for the Shoreham Lifeboat Appeal - our preferred charity for the 2008 show.
A full report will appear in the Horsham Historics Newsletter - free to all members.
For pictures and reports of other Drive It Day events visit the fbhvc website.
This Sunday - 20th April 2008. Come and see us depart from the Red Gate at the Ardingly Showground.10:30 for 11:00am We will be leaving at one minute intervals so you will have a clear view of each vehicle as it starts off. We will let you know where our mystery route will take us on the day(Even the webmaster doesn't know yet!)
All I know at the moment is that an interesting mix of vehicles - over 35 have entered so far from the ridiculous (Morris Minor 1931) to the sublime(Rolls Royce Corniche 1979) as well as several commercials.
If you aren't about to watch us and you have a historical vehicle, use it on this day to show support for other owners and enjoy the experience.
Let's hope the weather isn't quite like
